Currently I can only use 1 octave of my keyboard to trigger different pads in a row/track. I would like to use 2 octaves. Since I use the retrigger/stay settings in my tracks, I want to start a pad in octave 2 (pad #13-24) which will stop a pad playing in octave 1 (pad #1-12), and vice versa.
I don't know if FL Studio supports re-configuring MIDI keyboard's pad layout, so I've been trying to come up with some work-arounds. For example, pressing a key in octave 2 will trigger muting of the channels used in octave 1, to provide the illusion of 2 octaves worth of pads in one row. It's a lot of wiring MIDI keys to mute/unmute mixer channels, as well as having to duplicate my generators. let me know if there's a simpler way.
