Re: Can MIDI be recorded and looped live in performance mode?

I think the issue with this topic is that instead of giving FL users something completely different such as how Ableton gives the users “session view”, Image-Line developers said “let’s make them use the playlist but it functions completely differently than normal”.

The entire layout is unintuitive and confusing, limiting, and on top you can’t record new patterns while performing and set them to automatically start looping.

In fact it would be better if I could press a trigger button on my keyboard for TWO things:

1. Don’t start playing after recording, but still drop into the playlist on the first available pad spot

And

2. Immediately start playing after record is finished

I would also prefer if you could click a button on your MIDI controller that would change whether or not the next thing you record will follow global quantization or not.

Until any of these things is implemented, FL Studio has a crap tier performance mode and I honestly will not stop saying this until it’s changed - the performance mode on the DAW feels like a flash-game you would play at the library when you were 12.
