On a real piano, one presses the key and the hammer strikes the string. If the sustain pedal is pressed the note will ring on, and if you press the key again the note will not cut, the hammer will just restrike, adding to the previous note.
One of my greatest disappointments with FL studio (and I LOVE FL Studio) is that it does NOT do this. If a note is played over another, the next note will cut the last.
This is extremely frustrating when trying to duplicate the beautiful sound of a piano with something like FL Keys, and is equally as frustrating when I am trying to make a virtual instrument sound real (because real instruments do not do that).
I have found one solution, which is to use Edirol Orchestral, but that is only with that plugin and the same overlapping ability does not carry over to any other plugin, obviously.
Is there a way I can overlap midi, with any plugin (or just FL Keys), without them cutting the previous notes?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
