Thinning controller data?

I noticed it looks like high-resolution controller data and volume data seem high on CPU use sometimes, and in a session where everything is 'pushed to the max', it looks like just a volume automation drawing can bring the computer into the stuttering territory.
So, is there any way of getting less resolution from the controller data drawn in automation? Like, more grainy volume and cc info?

I remember another software once that had this 'thin controller data' option, where instead of having super-fine resolution controller data one could grain it up to save some cpu and system resources.
Anything like this possible in FL Studio?

Thanks!
