Directwave empty and doesn't play notes? Normal?

Hi all

I've never used Directwave but I saw in the FL demo projects that it was commonly used so I'm trying to get familiar.

1)I have the FL All Plugins version but apparently I have one instrument, the Mellotron. Is this normal? Where are all the instruments? It's weird that is seems to work in the demo projects.
2)When I open DW usually I can't play more than a couple notes and then it stops. Is this normal? By play I mean with my typing keyboard, like I can with any other synth (GMS, Flex, Sytrus etc).
3)Are other instruments in DW available for free, or is this just an old money grab from Imageline?
