Loop recording with Blend recording + Muted Mic

I have researched already on how to NOT mute the previous loop cycles, that's done with blend recording. Works.
I also researched how to NOT hear yourself while recording. It's by disconnecting the Insert from the Master channel. Works too.

But I can't figure out how I can record something I play on an instrument and not hear myself (because the small delay is weird) but still hear the previous cycles of the recording. I am aware why both methods above can't be combined, either I mute the whole channel or not. What solution could I use to not hear the current recorded cycle but still the previous ones?
