FL21 Receive Midi Transport Signal?

Hello All.

Sorry if this has already been covered, I didn't find it after doing a brief search. I know that FL21 can send midi transport data but from what I'm reading in the manual it says that it cannot receive midi transport data. It does say something about ReWire being an option but is no longer supported. Does this mean that ReWire is still a viable option just no more updates from FL? If so, how can I set that up to receive midi transport data or is there another method possible?

What I'm trying to do is connect with my cousin's laptop running Reason DAW and have interoperability between the 2. Reason can receive and send midi transport and it would be nice for FL to be able to do the same.

Anyone ever mess with this or have any advice? Thanks in advance.
