New to sampling

Hey there I tried sampling another vst pad into directwave and it worked well except for the original pad had long release times and direct wave seems to cut the release time off after the note is played. Is there a way around this ? Also I read some people had tried to sample hardware synths on here and had some problems and I'm just wondering if there was a new option in fl 21 to now sample hardware as well. Any help would be very appreciated . Thank you
