Key switcher for kontakt.

Here is a different way to key switch in kontakt using the color groups.

Place this in the channel rack
Set the input port on kontakt wrapper to 60 thru 75.
Set the midi channel for the instrument you want to control the key switching.
Set the key switch note start.

In the piano roll enable view ghost notes.

Play a few notes in kontakt.
Use the target channel feature in the piano roll to switch between channels quickly.
Be in the keyswitch paino roll and you should see gray ghost notes.
Using the color groups(1 thru 16) place the appropriate color in the piano roll. It doe not matter what note just place that color just slightly before the note(kontakt)(ghost note) you want to set the key switch.
The length of the keywitch note doesnt matter nor does it if its touching the end of the actual note.
Take note some kontakt libraries allow for multiple keyswitch to be played. No fear you can place all 16 if you want(different colors).

This method puts the keyswitching in the area where your work is and you don't have to always scroll down to the bottom looking where to place the key switch.
If you accidently or still in the habit of live keyswitching you can still do that. Just when you do that take note the keyswitch notes will be in the kontakt piano roll. You can do both.

Also you can within the same instance of kontakt use the color groups to play 16 different instruments. You jsut need to add different key switcher channels in the channel rack for each of the midi channels.

Just wish Fl studio would allow for naming of the color groups.
