trouble with my x session pro

it was fine until i tried mapping a button on the x session pro to a button on one of my patcher presets. then it stopped working entirely. i've tried factory resetting it as i've found in the x session pro's manual, but it doesnt work. testing it on other software, they can detect that it's an x session pro but no other information is being transmitted
