How Do I Sustain A Note In Piano Roll?

Hello I have a quick question.

I would like to sustain or in the very least tie a note together so it will last throughout the duration of the whole song under the piano roll. I am not able to find out how to do it on YouTube.
So in other words if I click on a C note and then if I drag it all the way across throughout the duration of the song let's say it's 3 minutes long well it ends up petering out or losing its sound within about three or four seconds. So then I would have to enter the same note again next to where I lost the sound of the note, except now I'm hearing it replay it again which I don't want to do I just want one long sustained sound from that note.
