Layer generator alternative for Patcher

Hey can anyone help me out with a Patcher problem. I'm trying to create a patch that rotates between different synths, so instead of all of the synths playing all at once, it alternates between the synths everytime I press a key. For instance if I play a Cmajor chord, synth1 would play C, synth2 would play E and synth3 would play G. This is pretty easy with the "Sequential" option in the Layer generator, but since Patcher doesn't support Layer is there an alternative way of doing this? I really want to do this in Patcher so I can combine other things to it.
