So I just got a FL Cloud subscription, mainly because of the mastering. Whenever I try to master tracks myself, it never comes out as I want. Mainly because I try to master using headphones; my monitors suck so I do all my mastering on my headphones. But when it's time to play my tracks at a club, it always sounds like crap.
So now I'm experimenting with "AI Mastering" through FL Cloud and while it's still nowhere near real human mastering (although iI truly believe that's just a matter of time), it's ways better than everything I was able to achieve myself.
Ok back on topic:
Whenever I make a track, I always have a Fruity Limiter on the Master Channel, just to get a feel of how to mix the different channels. But when I go and Master the track through FL Cloud, I notice that I get better results when I turn of the Limiter on the master channel.
So I was wondering, what more do's and dont's are there when mastering through FL Cloud? For instance, does setting the master channel's volume to max out at -6dB (as you would do when mastering yourself) make any difference?
