Song starts from beginning when USB drop

Why FL Studio starts the song again from beginning if any USB device (midi controller) is taken out from USB port (we are using Mac Air)? This can cause serious issues at live situation if USB device drops and then the live peoject starts from beginning. Does all DAWs do this or this is FL Studio issue? I would expect that FL Studio would just continue to play.
