Wavecandy Stuck

On my default project template I used to have my Wavecandy at this length, but recently made it shorter (due to the extra buttons) and saved the new preset, overwriting the old one.

But no matter what I do, it keeps reverting to the old size every time I open my project.
I delete out Wavecandy, add a new instance and choose the new preset, which does work. Then save the project, overwriting the old one.
Doesn't work. The purple box is again too long, as it was before. I've done the same thing and moved the Wavecandy to a different effect slot. Still doesn't work.
I've reset my Wavecandy probably ten times now. Maybe it has a conflict with the 'Current' track, I dunno.
