Changing instruments without adding another Channel

Hi there,
Maybe I am missing something, hoping you can point me the right way. I am using the amazing Vital synth, I want to use at least 20 odd instruments/FX from that Synth. Do I really have to keep adding another Channel each time and reloading another plugin of this synth (just to add a single cymbal) or is there a way for the instrument to change itself on the synth half way through the song on the same channel with that plugin?

Maybe I am worrying over nothing and should just keep loading another channel for this synth each time I want to use a different instrument?
