Edison's visible scale is literally more of the spectrum that BATS would hear, than what humans would hear. This seems very flawed/wrong/misguided...
It should be music-centric, with perhaps an OPTION for people like scientists/sound researchers to open the scale to ultrasonic frequencies. But what use is that to music producers, for the most part, except as a cool novelty which isn't really worth the tradeoff of losing 60% of their visible spectrograph screen space to get a cool show of the bat frequencies? I enjoy seeing them, but I know I would get better usage if I had a better zoomed / focused perspective on MUSIC and EFFECTS (audible) frequencies, instead.
P.S. The same is kind of true for Wave Candy, also. Really. This is a spectrograph for music producers, first... your primary customers... researchers looking at bat and insect sounds should be the ones forced to do a settings tweak to get this working for THEM, not music producers, who are imageline's mainstay customers.
Edison and Wave Candy visible scale should be more music-centric.
