Ideas to make FL Studio equal to other DAWs - Intuitive Engineering

Yo! I've been an FL Studio user for a good 4 years now, and I'm an audio engineer graduate who's used a great deal of other DAWs. My go-to DAW for writing and creating is FL Studio, but I've been struggling heavily with certain functionalities that I believe make FL Studio greatly inferior to other options for someone more experienced or precise in their writing and engineering approaches.

1. Add the straightforward ability to convert a mixer track to mono.
- I find it extraordinarily difficult and unintuitive when I am cascading my drum tracks (from Superior Drummer) to the mixer, only to discover my mono snare tracks are being automatically converted to stereo, and there is no dedicated way to simply convert the track to mono. The consequence to this is that when I am exporting my mixer tracks as merged mono when disk recording, I need to purposefully not export the room microphones and overheads, which are actually suppoed to be stereo. Exporting two different times just because I need some tracks to be mono, and others stereo, is rather annoying, especially if I'm trying to send these files to another DAW or to someone else for mixing and mastering.

2. Add the ability to outright make plugins inactive.
- I have many plugins that eat up absurd amounts of computer resources, and in many other DAWs, I can simply make them inactive to freeze them and stop them from loading. This is not the case in FL Studio, as we get "Smart Disable" instead. This is not sufficient in my opinion, as it is finnicky and there is no telling when it is or isn't active, and I would like to be able to know for certain a plugin is inactive. This also makes starting up a project with heavy CPU loads easier, as if I have the unneccessary plugins made inactive, I can then choose to enable what is necessary. This is an intuitive and almost necessary tool in the mixdown process for many engineers.

3. When disk recording from the mixer, send exported tracks to their own dedicated "Rendered Audio" folder in the project folder.
- It is sort of convoluted and difficult to find where my exported tracks are going, especially if I'm trying to send these files to another DAW or to someone else for mixing and mastering.

4. When deleting audio files from the session, make a prompt that asks you if you want to delete the files from your computer, or at least give us the option to turn that on as a preference. *Also, when using "auto name clips", make it rename the file, or let that also be an option in preferences.
- I recently discovered I have hundreds of unused audio files in my session folders, because though I deleted them from my session, they stayed around in my computer. It is nigh-impossible and extremely unrealistic to sort through and find the unused files and delete them. This is a very poor design choice in my opinion, and I believe something should be done about this.

Lastly, though this is unlikely, I would like to personally see an effort made towards time-based operations, rather than bar based operations. When I write music with natural, rapidly shifting tempos, it becomes straight up impossible to record instruments over it unless I consolidate and commit the drum track with the tempo changes, and then record instruments over top. That would mean I need to somehow write the drums before the actual song, or do some weird roundabout way of writing the piece which isn't very optimal. It's a shame to say it, but this is the area where FL Studio is incredibly weak for musicians who don't make electronic or midi based music, and where FL shows its greatest limitations. I can live without it, but it really does make life difficult sometimes.

And look, I'm not trying to dog on FL Studio, I love this DAW, it's really fun and intuitive for just sitting down and creating a magnum opus, but when it comes to mixing, engineering, and getting surgical with more complex operations you'd expect of any genre that is beyond the sphere of electronic/midi based, FL Studio falls behind very badly, and I would love to see it improve so I can continue to justify using it. Much love to the developers, you guys are amazing, and your community is amazing. Thanks for helping me out when I get stuck in the help chat on the discord!!

Peace!!
