Why are automation clips often disconnected?

Since I use FL I often notice that after pressing "create automation clip" the clip is in the Playlist, but it doesn't have impact on the linked parameter.

After single clicking on the clip or on another pattern, clip in the arrangement it ghostly activates himself.

Then when I do some changes in the automation clip it lost its connection again.

Then I click somewhere else till it works.

What ist that?
