I’d like to propose an idea for improving NewTime, inspired by the ability to split samples into stems. If this has already been suggested, my apologies—always late to the party!

The idea: Introduce a feature in NewTime that allows us to “lock” all stem samples (like vocals, bass, and instruments) to the drums stem. This way, all the stems stay perfectly synced with the timing adjustments made to the drums. To make it even more user-friendly, NewTime could visually focus only on the drum sample waveform during editing, reducing distractions from other transients like vocals and instruments.
To take it further: Instead of manually splitting samples, FL Studio could process the stems in the background when a sample is imported. NewTime could then include a dropdown menu, letting users select which stem to focus on—drums, bass, instruments, vocals, or all stems. This automated approach would simplify the workflow and help producers stay focused on creativity rather than setup.
Why this could help:
- Drums are often the foundation of a track, so locking other stems to their timing ensures cohesion.
- Viewing just one sample, like the drum stem, makes warping cleaner and more precise.
- Automating stem processing could save time and open up fresh creative possibilities.
Thanks for considering it!
