Options for REC format

I've noticed there's no option to select bit depth and amount of channels when recording audio directly to a track in FL Studio. I've recorded some quite long multitrack stuff over the years, and I've ended up with a folder taking over 200GB of storage, because all the mono tracks were saved as 32-bit 2ch WAV.
24-bit 1ch would take 38% of that - and since my interface is 24-bit anyways, there'd be NO quality loss!

I recently wanted to record ~5 hours of stuff from a 32-track mixer; had I done it in FL, it would've taken over 1 TB of storage! So, I had no choice but to switch to REAPER so I could record in 16 bit mono. I don't think I'll be coming back to FL :(

There might not be a huge request for this, but I still think it's necessary for FL to be used as a serious DAW.
