Things to keep in mind:
This is a pre-release version of FL Studio so you can test new features before they’re officially launched and give us feedback.
- It’s experimental - Betas contain more bugs, crashes than releases and unfinished features. They’re not guaranteed to be stable. OTOH neither is a release
- Back up your projects - Always save copies of your work before opening them in a beta and work on a new version. Projects saved in a beta won't open in previous versions.
- Use it for testing, not production - If you’re working on important music or client projects, stick with the stable release.
- Gopher won't know anything about the new features - It's based on the release version of the manual. You will need to read the FL Studio Beta Manual instead.
- Feedback is critical - If you find bugs or have suggestions, report them! That’s the whole point of beta testing.

WHAT'S NEW Beta 2
- General Settings - Limit the number of open plugin editors to 25. Avoids issues with excessive CPU usage when more than 25 plugin editors are open in the background.
- Channel Sampler - Hold (Shift) to move Loop Start and End together. Either knob is fine to use. Added dim the area before Start offset in the channel sample display. Improved mis-click behavior over the sample display Slice Markers. Preserves Zoom and Scroll as much as possible when switching ping pong and Crossfade Loops.
- Patcher - Added a warning message about lost automation links when patcherizing a plugin or mixer track. Moved the Input and Output sub menus into the main module popup menu.
- Loop Starter - 'Find similar samples' available on (Right-Click) Dice icons. Now uses Key info to refine results.
- Playlist Track Header Menu - Changed the position of the 'Random color'.
- Loop Starter - Improved Channel Volume when adjusting Loop Starter sample gain.
- ZGE Visualizer - Added an option to lock the size of the preview window.

- FL Studio:
- Welcome Window - Updated design to make options clearer for both Trial and Licensed users.
- Communications Panel - All Tabs (News, Downloads, Notifications, Help and Gopher) are now resizable.
- Keyboard Shortcuts - Mute only Channels visible in the Channel Rack when using the top-row number keys (above the letters).
- Loading Projects - Samples are loaded in multiple threads while opening a project, improving load times.

- Loop Starter - The Channel Rack Menu now includes a Key control. 'Find similar samples' available on (Right-Click) Dice icons also uses Key info to refine results. 'Group playlist tracks created by Loop starter' Group tracks when sent to Playlist. Additionally 'Always create a track for the pattern clip' will create an Instrument Track even when no Step Channels were used.
- Loop Starter - Scroll the new Clips into view when a Loop Starter pattern is sent to the Playlist.
- Piano roll:
- Velocity Editor - Improved responsiveness when making quick swipe-edits to note velocity. No more missed velocities.
- Scores - Include the Channel name in the File name when a Piano roll score preset is dragged out.

- Clip Variants - Audio Clips now show the Clip variant's pitch offset in the Audio Clip's hint.
- Extract Stems - The Extract Stems popup adds an option to route each Stem to a separate Mixer Track.
- Mixer:
- Track Management - Option 'Trim unused tracks' now offers to delete unused Mixer Tracks that have effects slots with effects loaded.
- Patcherizing FX - New FX slot menu items 'Patcherize' and 'Patcherize all' to convert plugins to Patcher instances. A great way to start again when your FX stack is full.
